Backyard batting cage advice sought

Have 3 boys getting ready to hit middle and high school and all 3 play baseball and all 3 have potential to do well with school ball. I'm considering putting up a backyard batting cage. Looking for advice on what to do... home made? buy one? buy from where? how long? get a pitching machine? dos and donts? TIA.
